Color Perception: More Than Meets the Eye

For many people, the most challenging decision leading up to a painting project is the color selec­tion. Because color is sub­jective and predominantly a matter of personal choice, colors that depict one’s own mood and person­ality can influence the final decision. Depending upon the area in which you live, the ability to select exterior colors may have limitations due to association and/or neighborhood board approval, but interior colors can seem to have infinite options. In this article, my intent is to offer tips on how to utilize perception as a tool when looking for that perfect color.
